Nataraj Music & Dance Academy, Regd., founded and ISO 9001:2009 certified in the year 2008 is a stand-alone organization that has been incessantly promoting, patronizing and providing world class dance performances to the citizens of Visakhapatnam. The Academy was established with the primary motto of creating a platform for the recognition of Indian Culture through various events that showcase an

d reflect on the rich and varied Indian art, culture and heritage. The organization strives hard and continuously to live to its mission by organizing dance festivals of both international and national stature, encourage young and budding artists by conducting different competitions in dance, art and Indian music, educate and create awareness on the intensity, intricacy and ingrained knowledge that is the basic foundation of Indian art forms irrespective of the geographical origin. The aim of the Academy is to promote and profess unity in diversity of Indian culture through its various workshops, lecture demonstrations and competitions. Educating common man on the richness of classical Indian dance and sensitizing people at large on the essence of Indian art for over a decade has been the forte of the Academy. The Academy has organized International dance festivals and has successfully invited besides eminent and renowned dancers, many a Padmabhushan and Padmashri Artists in the different classical dance forms of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Mohiniatam, Manipuri, Odissi, Kathak, Sattriya and the less known Chau. The Academy founded to impart education to students in the various areas of Indian Classical art conducts courses in Indian Classical dance forms, (Kuchipudi, Bharatanaytam, Kathak), Indian Folk dance, Indian Instrumental and classical music has been providing regular sessions with discipline, dedication and has nurtured many students as budding dancers for over 15 years. The Academy also provides a platform for the artists to perfect their art, reach advanced heights by providing an opportunity to interact with stalwarts in the field including renowned dancers, musicians, journalists and artists. The Academy understands the role of discipline in the artist and devotes much of its energy in chiseling fine artists by providing rigorous training with perfectionism and professionalism as the prime focus thereby encouraging and motivating them towards excellence and fine-tuning of their skills. Dedicated teachers, team of dance enthusiasts, artists and academicians of high repute have contributed in the noble endeavor to execute the functioning and encourage the Founder Director Vikarm Goud in his noble endeavor to patronize and promote the beautiful, enriching and aesthetic values of Indian Classical Dance and music.
