*With Sheikh Ishfaq's tireless efforts, Ganderbal writing new scripts of development and prosperity: Sheikh Saloora*

*_No one could have done what JKUM president is doing for the district_*

Ganderbal: While praising the great vision and tireless efforts of the Founder & President, Jammu Kashmir United Movement, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, Senior politician and JKUM leader Sheikh Saloora has congratulated people of Ganderbal for getting much needed developmentalal projects sanctioned for Ganderbal.

Saloora said that despite playing proactive role in politics, Ganderbal had been exploited over the decades by outsiders (pointing towards NC leadership), but now to the good fortune of the people of Ganderbal, the one and only dynamic and efficient public representative Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar has made it happen and his sincerity and true love for his home soil has started paying back.

Saloora said the good news coming in form of the project sanctioning is a big slap on the faces of all those critics who used to say Ishfaq goes to LG and other top bureaucrats for strengthening his personal relations, in fact Ishfaq Jabbar is the only true and people friendly leader and politician who tirelessly kept on working on his aim of serving Ganderbal people.

Saloora said the much needed projects sanctioned which include Nagbal-Wayil road widening, Takanwari Paribal bridge (near Chundina Ganderbal), road to Mohanmarg exploration are not the only examples of Ishfaq's tireless efforts, but people should also remember that the CUK which remained functioning in private accommodation in Srinagar for years and then a big conspiracy to shift the university to Budgam came to fore and it was almost done if Sheikh Ishfaq had not opposed and fought for the same. He added that it was Ishfaq, the one man army who not only made government to shift CUK administrative office to Ganderbal but also worked on to locate and identify different government accommodations to house the University campuses across Ganderbal.

Saloora said this is just a beginning and Ishfaq Jabbar is equally concerned to get other major projects like New Ganderbal Hydroelectric power project, Malshahi bagh-Duderhama bypass road, Women's College, tourism, youth development and other employment generating avenues where unemployed youth of Ganderbal could be engaged to earn their livelihood.

Saloora said Jammu and Kashmir United Movement is not just a political party but a full-fledged public movement and a mission to bring total prosperity and development to Ganderbal. He said the JKUM party Founder is young but a great visionary on a great mission we all should not only support but accompany to make our district a true paradise of peace, development and communal harmony.

Jammu Kashmir United Movement holds workers’ meet in Authkhuroo Rabitar

Ganderbal: Jammu Kashmir United Movement on Friday held a workers meet in Authkhuroo Rabitar Ganderbal.

According to a press note, the meeting was chaired by JKUM President Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar.

The meeting observed that JKUM from the day it came into existence remained the only political party to raise the public issues and protested against the stopping of free ration to the poor, reduction of monthly ration quota and imposition of property tax, demanding immediate rollback of all anti-people measures.

Speaking on the occasion Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar said that We at the JKUM reiterate that economic empowerment is essential for political empowerment of the people of J&K. To bring reprieve for the people of J&K, we will work tirelessly to halt further erosion. We have no doubt that JKUM will emerge as a strong and viable political force in the coming elections”, he added.

He further said that our traditional political parties, either chose to remain silent or fled when people needed them the most.

However, when it comes to grabbing power, the same parties would come to allure people through deceptive slogans like 'Autonomy,' self-rule, and so on.

He on the same time said and hailed the LG administration for the technical sanction of Paribal Takenwari bridge, tendering of four lanning of Nagbal Wayil National Highway, release of funds for Mohand Marag and Lalmarag.

He on the occassion urged the youth of the area to stay away from drugs, as this drug menace is destroying the current and future generations and will have a catastrophic impact on the future of J&K. “ I appeal the youth to rise to the occasion and spread awareness against this drug menace,” JKUM leader said.

On the occassion JKUM Senior Leader Sheikh Gh Ahmad Saloora said that people are fed up with an exploitative politics by all the political parties and now all hopes are pinned Ishfaq Jabbar to take the people out of the morass and socio-political chaos.

“People will not trust these political parties anymore. They have exploited people for decades and had no solution to the growing unemployment and rising inflation,” he said .

*I will carry forward the work and legacy of my father: Ishfaq Jabbar*

*Addresses workers’ convention in Kangan*

Ganderbal 4 Nov.: Jammu Kashmir United Movement President Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar today expressed his determination to carry forward the mission of his father Shaheed Sheikh Abdul Jabbar. He emphasized that his father was a leader of the masses and his vision for the Ganderbal district would be continued.

A multitude of men and women attended the convention, offering an enthusiastic reception to Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar and his fellow leaders upon their arrival at the venue.

Addressing the party convention in Kangan area of Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district Jabbar emphasised that the JKUM is committed to guiding people towards a future marked by peace, prosperity, and development.

He asserted, "Our agenda is clear and straightforward. We aspire for peace, prosperity, and development in Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that its residents attain economic and political empowerment. We do not believe in deceptive political slogans, as we do not believe in a politics of falsehoods and empty promises. Our commitment is to maintain honesty with our people. We will always tell the truth, even if it's bitter and even if being truthful doesn't yield us political dividends."

Taking a dig at the traditional political parties and their leaders, Jabbar reminded people that these politicians have always been deceptive to the people. He said, “Do you remember that once upon a time these traditional politicians misled you on the name of the so-called plebiscite movement for more than two decades? And, finally, they turned away from this so-called movement to attain power for themselves. They did not bother about the people who had been put into jail for being affiliated with the misleading slogan of ‘plebiscite’. Then, after some time they started chanting slogans of ‘autonomy’ and ‘self-rule’. Did they get these things for you?”

Mr Jabbar said, “Youth is our future, and we cannot afford to let our youngsters fall prey to negative politics. They deserve the best opportunities and a promising future, and it is our responsibility to create an environment that could pave the way for a better future for our youth.”

Party Senior leader Sheikh Gh Ahmad Saloora also spoke on the occasion. Saloora said that he feels extremely sorry and has already apologized to the people of Ganderbal for the fake promises he had made to people on behalf of Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah during 2008 Assembly Elections. “I vehemently canvassed for Omar Abdullah and today people are asking me why he (Omar Abdullah) befooled us and made fake promises. I wish Omar to contest from Ganderbal and surely he will taste a humiliating defeat,” he said adding that NC is on the brink of disaster.

During the convention various demands were raised by the participants one of which was for an end to the ongoing conflict and violence in Gaza. The participants expressed their solidarity with the people of Gaza and called for a peaceful resolution to the situation.

Ishfaq Jabbar concluded his speech urging the JKUM workers and supporters to remain steadfast in their fight for justice and to choose wisely in the upcoming elections. As the convention came to an end the attendees left the venue with renewed determination ready to bring about the change they believed their area desperately needed.
