Out of 23 Army Personnel who were missing on the night of 04/10/2023 after being swept away by the turbulent waters of the Teesta River from Bardang Army Camp one more Army Personnel has been miraculously rescued. He was found safe and sound in the 13 Namthang Ratepani Group, Lingkhim Tarma Danok, Namthang area. The latest reports indicate that he has been promptly taken for medical treatment.

This morning, unexpected rocket attacks shook the region, with sirens blaring at 6:30 AM in Tel Aviv, as well as in cities across the Sharon, Gush Dan, and the South. Alongside the rocket fire, bursts of gunfire echoed in the surrounding areas, prompting residents to seek shelter in protected spaces.
Reports of casualties have emerged from Yavne, Ashkelon, and a settlement near Ashdod. The Israeli Air Force is on high alert.

अलिपुरद्वारका निवासी सेना सिपाही विमल ओरावनको सिक्किममा प्राकृतिक प्रकोपमा मृत्यु भएको छ। उनी काल्चिनी ब्लकको मधु चिया बगानका बासिन्दा थिए। यो सिक्किममा बाढीमा हराएको सेनाको गाडी र सैनिकहरू मध्ये एक हो। उनको शव शुक्रबार मधु चिया बगानको मुन्सी लाइनस्थित उनको निवासमा ल्याइएको छ ।उनको शव बुधबार गजलदोबास्थित टिष्टा खोलाबाट फेला परेको हो। बिहीबार उनका भाइले शव पहिचान गरेका थिए। यस पछि, उत्तर बंगाल मेडिकल कलेज र अस्पतालमा पोस्टमार्टम पछि, शवलाई बिन्नागुरी आर्मी क्यान्टोनमेन्टमा अन्तिम श्रद्धांजलि दिइएको थियो जहाँ उनको पोस्ट गरिएको थियो। त्यसपछि शव घर पठाइएको थियो।

Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang visited disaster affected areas in Rangpo under Pakyong district. He met and interacted with the people housed at Nepali Bhawan, Golitar relief camp, Bardang, Bageykhola, Divya Jyoti school, Majitar, Mining SSS, Chanatar relief camp and assured all possible assistance.

The Chief Minister also inspected the Atal Setu Bridge.

Sikkim Flood Situation: Indian Army Extending Mobile Connectivity To Tourists And Civilians, Search Operation For 22 Missing Indian Army Personnel Continue.

The search and rescue operation by Indian Army for the 22 missing soldiers continue. Meanwhile, Troops of Trishakti Corps are extending medical aid and mobile connectivity to civilians and tourists stranded in the areas of Chungthang, Lachung and Lachen in North Sikkim.
Search and Rescue operation by troops of Trishakti Corps, Indian Army to trace the 22 missing soldiers continues. Continued efforts are on to dig out the vehicles submerged under the slush at Burdang near Singtam. The search for the missing persons is now focussing in the areas downstream of Teesta River. Out of the initial 23 missing persons, one person was recovered alive on 4 Oct evening.
The family members of the missing persons have been contacted and informed about the situation. All other Indian Army personnel posted in Sikkim and North Bengal are safe and they are unable to contact their family members due to disruptions of mobile communication.

Flash Flood due to Cloud burst in Sikkim: 23 Army Personnel are Missing

Due to sudden cloud burst over Lhonak Lake in North Sikkim, a flash flood occurred in the Teesta River in Lachen valley. Some army establishments along the valley have been affected and efforts are on to confirm details.
Release of water from the Chungthang dam led to a sudden increase in water level upto 15-20 feet high downstream.
This has led to Army vehicles parked at Bardang near Singtam getting affected. 23 personnel have been reported missing and some vehicles are reported submerged under the slush. Search operations are underway.
