Writer Mriganka Bhattacharya is attending Darjeeling Literary Meet, 2018 to interact with the readers at Mainak Tourist Lodge, Siliguri on 31st March, 2018. Born in 1970s, Mriganka Bhattacharya is a contemporary fiction writer who writes in Bengali. He had inclination to writing from his school days. He came into serious writing arena in 2006 while his first short story was published in Uttar Banga Sambad, a large circulated daily.
In 2009 he drew attention of the readers when his story “Nil Megh” was published in “Desh”, the acknowledged literary magazine. After that he carved a niche as his myriad short stories were published in “Desh”, “Anandabazar Patrika”, “Saptahik Bartaman”, “Sananda”, “Unish Kuri”, “Femina”, “Aajkal”, “Sambad Pratidin” “Uttar Banga Sambad” in a regular interval. A number of stories of Mriganka were translated into widely circulated Hindi magazines (Dunian in Dinon and Pakhi). A Radio Theatre was produced and aired by a London based FM Channel on his story “Lal Diary”.
Mriganka is keen on writing fictions for young adults. A number of stories of him were published in “Anandamela” and “Kishore Bharati”, the most popular juvenile magazines in Bengali. He also writes in a number of web magazines. He loves to travel and writes travelogues in travek magazines like “Rong Route”, “Long Journey”.
