The radio operates under the media and communication wing of Wisdom Islamic Organization, an organization part of the Kerala Islahi movements aiming at spreading the message of Islam in Kerala. Vakkom Abdul Qader Molvi, Maulana Abdurahman Saheb, KM Molvi, E Moidu Molvi and many other freedom fighters who played a substantial role in the making of an independent India were also the pioneers of this movement.
