A break above 50,000 could lead to sharp short covering towards 50,500/51,000 levels. The market sentiment remains bullish, and traders are advised to buy on dips, with support at 49,000, where the highest open interest is on the put side, according to Kunal Shah, Senior Technical & Derivative Analyst at LKP Securities.

In a tragic incident on Sunday, a 53-seater bus carrying pilgrims from the Shiv Khori cave shrine to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra was ambushed by terrorists in the Reasi district of Jammu. The attack, which occurred around 6:15 pm, caused the bus to veer off the road and plunge into a deep gorge near the Kanda area of Pouni. Nine pilgrims, including a child, lost their lives, and 33 others sustained injuries. Eight trekkers were rescued and shifted to Dehradun on Wednesday, while five more will be airlifted from Uttarkashi to Dehradun today. The trekking team, consisting of 22 members, was sent by Himalayan View Trekking Agency, Maneri, on May 29 for a 35-km long trek from Uttarkashi. The team included 18 trekkers from Karnataka, one from Maharashtra, and three local guides. Rescue operations have been ongoing since the incident, with survivors being transported to safety and the deceased prepared for repatriation to their home state.
