Militant hideout busted in south Kashmir forest
The government forces on Monday busted a militant hideout in Manzgam forest area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Unnamed official sources told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a militant hideout was busted in Rehmakan Manzgam forest area of D H Pora in Kulgam district.
“So far, some arms have been recovered and further searches of the hideout and area around is going on,” sources said.
They said that the operation was launched by Army’s 34 Rashtriya Rifles during which a militant hideout was busted. (KNO)

Kulgam, Apr 25 (KNO): Three residential houses were damaged in a massive blaze that broke out in Shouch area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Sunday afternoon.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that fire broke out in a residential house in Batpora Shouch in Kulgam.
“Fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames,” he said, adding that three residential houses got damaged till the fire was brought under control
They said no one was injured in the incident and the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
He said the three residential houses belong to Abdul Rashid Lone, son of Mohammad Shaban Lone, Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Salam Bhat and Gulzar Ahmad Thokar, son of Abdul Aziz Thokar of Batpora Shouch, Kulgam—(KNO)

Tempo catches fire on Srinagar-Leh highway in Kangan
KANGAN: A Tempo vehicle was completely destroyed in a fire mishap on Srinagar-Leh road in Kangan area of central Kashmir's Ganderbal on Friday afternoon.
An official told KNO the temp car caught fire during repairing works, resulting in complete damage to it.
He said the tempo belongs to Irshad Ahmad Lone son of Nazair Ahmad Lone, a resident of Doda.
“No injuries to any personnel were reported in the incident,” he added.

IED found along circular road in Pulwama, defused
Pulwama, Apr 23: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found along Circular road in Pulwama on Friday.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that security forces found an IED along Circular road on Tahab road in South Kashmir's Pulwama district.
He said that IED has been defused and a major incident was averted.

Srinagar, Apr 22: (GNS) Unidentified gunmen Thursday afternoon broke into a J&K Bank branch in Sherabad Khore of Pattan in north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports reaching news agency Global News Service (GNS) said that few persons boarding a car forced their entry into the bank and decamped with an unascertained amount of cash.
Confirming the incident, a senior police official told GNS that at least three gunmen donning PPE kits managed to flee with cash besides a 12 Bore rifle from the bank guard on duty.
The locals present there tried to caught them, however the suspected gunmen fired some shots in the air to create panic before running away from the spot, the official said adding that however the trio have left behind the vehicle.
Soon after intimation, a police team reached the spot and an alert has been sounded in the peripheries to nab the culprits, the official added. (GNS)

Faisal Gulzar Ganie Son of Gulzar Ahmad Ganie resident of #Chitragam-Kalan village of Shopian has gone missing on April 6 when he left his home to get some groceries but didn't return. Shopian, : Family members of 14-year old youth, who had gone missing on April 6, urges their son to return home and appealed security agencies to help them in trace the lone brother of four sisters. According to family members Faisal is lone son of his family which included his father, mother, and 4 unmarried sisters. The missing son has left the family shattered who are pleading their son for immediate return. “We appeal our son, for the sake of your sisters please don’t leave us in such a situation and return home as soon as possible. We can't live without you,” said his sister while breaking in tears and fell unconscious. "He is very innocent. We don’t have any support except him,” wails Faisal's mother. Family of Faisal Gulzar Lone has also lodged a missing report of their son in concerned police station.
