Dr Mohd Javaid, Residence of Village Palli, Block and Tehsil Dansal, Jammu, featured third time in Stanford University, USA coveted global list of the top 2% of scientists, 2023
Dr Mohd Javaid, son of the Late. Mohd Hussain and Late. Rashidan Bibi, a resident of Village PaIli, Block and Tehsil Dansal, Distt Jammu, has been listed third time among the top 2% of scientists worldwide. This list has been prepared by a team of experts led by Prof. John loannidis, the eminent Professor at Stanford University, USA and published by Elsevier BV. This year, 2023, about three thousand researchers from India have found a place in this list that represents the beneficial impact of the country on the global research platform.
Dr Javaid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has completed his PhD under the supervision of Professor Abid Haleem, former Head & and seniormost professor of the same department of the University. Dr Javaid has published various research articles in Scopus/ SCl/ESCl/Web of Science indexed journals in Additive Manufacturing, Healthcare technologies, Industry 4.0 and its associated technologies. This year, 26 faculty from Jamia Millia Islamia have been featured in Stanford's University list of the top 2% of scientists; out of these, Dr. Javaid is ranked 3rd in the year 2022 performance from his university. Thus, to acknowledge and appreciate inclusion in the prestigious top 2 % Scientists' list curated by Stanford University, a felicitation ceremony was organised by the Jamia Millia Islamia on 29th October 2023. This ceremony was part of the University's 103rd Foundation Day celebrations. Dr Javaid received the award from Prof. Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, Ms Sharmila Tagore, Indian actress and Dr Shy Kumar Sarin, Senior Professor and Head, Department of Hepatology Director, Institute of Liver and Biliary Science (ILBS) during Foundation Day of the University. Dr Javaid also received this award in the years 2021 and 2022.
