ing the publication of sadhvi stands as a mile stone in the annals of the history of kannada journalism and Indian freedom movement. Sadhvi was first started by “M. VENKATAKRISHNAIAH” popularly called as “THATHAIAH”, the grand old man of Mysore. He is also known as “father of kannada journalism. Agaram Rangaiah, a renowned freedom fighter tookover as the editor of sadhvi after Thathaiah he published it successfully for 63 years. Sadhvi is now being published as a daily kannada eveninger, known for its commitment to ethical values of journalism, it is voicing the opinions of aspirations of the people. This century old kannada newspaper under the editorship of C.Maheshwarian is a house hold name in Mysore .
