About Me :
The name, by which people know me in Mumbai, is Vidur. My real name is Kamal Nayan Chaturvedi. Deoria, a small district in U.P. , is my birth place. I was born in the family of advocates and farmers. I did my post graduation in English Literature from Allahabad University in 1974. In 1989, I came to Mumbai and started my acting training career in 1990. In 2014 I complete 25 years as an Acting Trainer / Language Coach / Voice Trainer / Elocution Coach. I am also pioneer of " Script Based Acting Workshops " in India . I started this trend in 2000 with Aditya Chopra directed , Yash Raj Films' " Mohabbatein ". In all these 25 years , I worked with some actors as their " PRIVATE / PERSONAL COACH " and trained some other actors as " FREELANCE TRAINER " while working in many Acting Institutes of Mumbai , Pune , Nashik & Bengaluru . Journey so far: 1990 to 2012 : PRIVATE / PERSONAL COACH and FREELANCE TRAINER 2012 till Date : " VIDUR ACTING INSTITUTE " and Enunciation of " The Process " In 2012, after 22 years of constant evolution and incessant quest for excellence as PRIVATE / PERSONAL CAUCH and FREELANCE TRAINER, I thought to incorporate my theory " The Process " in my training. With this aim I established Vidur Acting Institute in Mumbai on September 21 , 2012 . I have written two books till date. In 2004, I co-authoured a book, ”SWAYAM VADYA SWAYAM VADAK”. It is the first book on acting in Hindi. Then in 2008, I wrote a booklet of diction. It is titled ” BHASHA AUR UCHCHARAN “. 2nd edition is in market. In between, I ventured into a new field , and in 2005 co-directed a Marathi feature film , “BHAKTI HEECH KHARI SHAKTI “ , starring ASHOK SARAF and ALKA KUBAL. In 2010 I wrote script of a Bhojupri film " ABER ".
