Double Murder and Su***de rocks Mulund

In a shocking incident a 20 year old youth killed his father and grandfather with a kitchen knife and thereafter jumped from the sixth floor of Vasant Oscar building located on busy LBS road in Mulund west today morning.
According to police sources the accused youth Shardul Mangale killed his father Milind Mangale and grandfather Kehav Mangale {85} in the presence of caretaker who had asked him to leave the place, but Shardul ignored him and after executing his act ended his life by jumping from the sixth floor. Police sources revealed that the killing could be due to a family feud and Shardul was mentally disturbed. Joint CP of Mumbai Vishwas Nangare Patil arrived at the crime spot. Further investigation is underway.

ATM robbery stuns Bhandupkars

In view of lockdown situation, many people are left with no jobs to do and no money to spend. This has coerced them to look for illegal means of making fast bucks. In one such incident, two burglars broke open an ATM of ICICI bank located in Tulshet Pada Area of Bhandup on Friday midnight. According to police sources, the thieves chanced upon BANK ATM with the help of a hammer and stole cash worth Rs.11.5 lakhs. However, the alert Bhandup Police zeroed on one of the thieves and successfully recovered 80% of the robbed amount.

The entire nation is fighting the biological war against Corona Virus. All the COVID-19 warriors such as individuals employed in the medical fraternity, essential services and sanitation work are keeping their noses to the grindstone for our convenience. The Mumbai Police is performing a vital task in this COVID-19 war. To salute these devoted frontline warriors, artists Rupesh Panchal, Akshay Gokhale and Ritesh Mhaskar have expressed their gratitude on the behalf of Mulundkars through their eye-catching artwork on the Mulund Station Road. Social Activist Sanjay Mali has also participated in this work. The artwork has given the message of 'Staying Indoors' in these crucial times. Prior to this artwork, Artist Ritesh has also painted many such messages giving arts on the Mulund streets to spread awareness among the people. His task is being widely appreciated.
