We are a bunch, who thought to boss up and aim big without a hush. And what’s in a name! A name like that! The Hush Post is a name which was born as a result of the paucity of good domain names and clever businessmen banking them like stocks. Nonetheless we struck gold. Journalism is all about playing with words, carving clever sentences; getting to the name — thehushpost.com took us close to a week of work in October 2017. And thehushpost.com button was pressed somewhere in Chandigarh on the evening of November 7. It is a news website dedicated to the six north Indian states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and also national capital Delhi and Chandigarh, as well as the diaspora. We also break news, latest sports, films, political stories and provide crisp coverage of events as and when they unfold. And we promise brilliance commensurate with our growth and will re-strategies our goals on reaching each milestone which will be in line with human values rather than greed and gratification.

The Team:

Shamsher Chandel, Founder-Editor & Partner: He has more than two-decade long experience in print and broadcast journalism. He began his career with reputed English evening tabloid Delhi Mid-Day and subsequently work with The Asian Age, The Indian Express, The Times Of India and later with a couple of news channels. His last stint was with Dainik Bhaskar as a Resident Editor. He has also authored a novel — Crack of Dawn.

Vishal Anand, CEO: He is a thorough professional with an overall experience of 15 years and has worked with Hindustan Times and Dainik Jagran Group in various roles and capacities handling direct as well as channel sales and has a strong background of handling large FOS in the designated markets. He is a business post-graduate in Management.

Gunjan Gupta, Consultant: He is a thorough professional with an overall experience of 12 years and has worked with Hindustan Times, Dainik Bhaskar Group, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Birla Mutual Funds, ICICI Pru and Citi Bank in various roles and capacities handling direct as well as channel sales and has a strong background of handling large FOS in the designated markets. He is a business post-graduate from Preston University, California.

Gautam Arora, COO: Gautam has a total work experience of 10 years and has worked under the banners like Hindustan Hindi, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar and ICICI Bank handling middle-level assignments & generating business from Punjab for these publications. He has a good experience in handling diversified teams and ad clientele and worked in diversified environments.

Ranjeet Bedi, Vice President: Ranjeet has a total work experience of more than 15 years and has worked under the banners like Dainik Bhaskar, Amar Ujala and Dainik Savera handling front line and middle-level assignments & generating business from Punjab for these publications. He has a good experience in handling diversified teams and ad clientele and worked in diversified environments.He is responsible for over all revenue for the HushPost and all it's other verticals.

Sharat K Verma, Associate Editor: An alumnus of Thomson Reuters Foundation and a journalist with English print media, he has a 20-year-long experience of reporting and editing with leading English dailies in India and in the Middle-East. Also a professional lawyer, he started his journalistic voyage with The Indian Express first as a freelancer and then went on to successfully take up roles of a senior. Besides IE, he also worked with the dailies like DNA (Daily News & Analysis) and Daily Post.
