About the City: Ludhiana once known as Lodhiana _ a home to the great Lodhi Dynasty_ is one of the old-established cities of Punjab, with a population that has increased during recent years to around 40, 00,000. Situated on the Grand Trunk Road running from the border through to Delhi, it lies 300 km

The doyens of the Cycle (Hero Cycles Ltd., Avon Cycles…) and Hosiery Industry (Oswal Woolen Mills, Vardhman Spinning….) have put the city on an international map and some of the city brands are a name to reckon with in the world trade circles. But, Ludhiana is not home to bigger players only; it fends equal opportunities to all kinds of skilled/unskilled workers that migrate from all over the country with dreams of a better future. Of late, Ludhiana has grown more conscious to the health cause of its population and has gradually emerged as a Premier Health Care Centre of Punjab, catering to the neighbouring states also. Climate: The climate of the Ludhiana is usually dry except a brief spell of monsoon season in a very hot summer and a cold winter.
