Guru Gobind Singh Ji write about their own birth in a very summarized form:
.
ਮੁਰ ਪਿਤ ਪੂਰਬ ਕੀਯਸਿ ਪਯਾਨਾ ॥
My father (Guru Tegh Bahadur) proceeded towards the east.
ਭਾਂਤਿ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਕੇ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਨਾ ॥
He bathed at several places of pilgrimage.
ਜਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਬੇਣੀ ਭਏ ॥
When he went to Triveni (Prayag),
ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਦਿਨ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਤਏ ॥੧॥
he passed his days in acts of charity ||1||
ਤਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਭਯੋ ॥
I was conceived there.
ਪਟਨਾ ਸਹਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਭਵ ਲਯੋ ॥
I took birth at Patna City.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Mata Gujri Ji stayed at Allahabad for six months,
and it was during that time that Guru Gobind Singh Ji began to reside in their mother’s womb, or that Mata Gujri Ji became pregnant. Guru Gobind Singh Ji were then born in Sri Patna Sahib.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji had gone to the east, to Dhaka, to preach about Sikhi, at the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s birth. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji were not present at Patna Sahib when their son were born. From Dhaka, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji wrote and sent a Hukamnama. When they began contemplating a name for their son, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji said that One whom they had been waiting for, and for whom the entire world had been waiting for, had been born into the world. The Hukamnama says: “Gobind Daas Ke Janam Ki Badaae Ho.”
Till today, this Hukamnama is placed at Patna Sahib.

Today marks the day that Sri Guru Hargobind Ji 👑 returned to Sri Harmandir Sahib after months of imprisonment at the Gwalior Fort. In celebration, the Sikhs lit oil-lamps all over, rejoicing the return of their Guru.

Dhan Guru Hargobind Ji did not leave on their own, but freed 52 other Kings who had been wrongly imprisoned in the jail as well.
