The Varanasi Ganga Aarti is a mesmerizing ritual that takes place every evening on the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi, India. It is a deeply spiritual experience where priests offer prayers to the river, accompanied by music, chanting, and the lighting of oil lamps.
The Ganga Aarti starts soon after sunset and lasts for about 45 minutes. In the summer, the Aarti begins at about 7pm due to late sunsets and in winter it starts at around 6pm.🙏🏻❤️

India’s largest salt lake is actually the Sambhar Lake, located in the state of Rajasthan. It is situated near the town of Sambhar, about 80 kilometers southwest of the city of Jaipur. Sambhar Lake is the largest inland salt lake in India, covering an area of approximately 190 to 230 square kilometers, depending on the season. It is a significant source of salt production in the region and also serves as a habitat for various bird species, especially during the winter months when migratory birds visit the lake.
Crystallization: As the brine evaporates under the intense heat of the Rajasthan sun, salt crystals begin to form on the surface of the pans. The first stage of salt crystals is usually white in color.

Color Formation: As the crystallization process continues, different minerals and algae present in the lake water can give the salt a variety of colors. For example, pink hues can be attributed to the presence of a type of algae called Dunaliella salina, which thrives in high-salinity environments.

Harvesting: Once the salt has fully crystallized, workers collect it from the pans using rakes and shovels. The salt is then piled into mounds to dry further.

Processing and Packing: After drying, the salt is typically processed to remove impurities and then packed into bags for distribution and sale.
