Nothing in our past has been all sunshine and rainbows. Some of the incidents were really heinous, and it's probably better to just forget about them. A monument is built to serve as a symbol of what may be a divisive issue.
Deliberations that go on for a long time may provide impartial viewpoints, which can pave the road for a more stable, prosperous and diversified tomorrow.
