Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha expressed his heartfelt congratulations on this monumental achievement, stating, "This recognition is a testament to the hard work and exceptional talent of our artisans. It validates their dedication and highlights the cultural richness of Srinagar. We are committed to supporting our artisans and ensuring that this accolade translates into tangible benefits for the community."
Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown steadfast support for Jammu and Kashmir's handicraft and handloom sector. Oil Tanker Union Expresses Concern Over BPCL's Carriage Tender Oil Tanker Union Demands Amendment in BPCL's Carriage Tender Jammu, 16/Nov/2023: All Jammu And Kashmir Oil & LPG Tank, Truck Drivers & Cleaners Union have expresses serious concern over the terms and condition mentioned in a recent tender notification for Road Transportation of Bulk (POL) Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant issued by the BPCL, Bhartiya Petroleum Corporation Limited for J & K. Today while addressing a Press Conference, Ranjit Singh Raina, the President of All Jammu And Kashmir Oil & LPG Tank, Truck Drivers & Cleaners along with Sardar. Harasis Singh another senior member of the Union informed the media person that BPCL in its tender notification dated 01/Nov/2023 have completely ignored the welfare and interest of the transporters of Jammu and Kashmir which would ultimately affect the Drivers and Cleaners. They apprised that in the road transportation tender of the BPCL, in comparison to past tender of year 2017, this time the number of vehicles(tank lorries) have been decreased from over 300 to 225 and the capacity of requisite tanker have also been increased. The terms and conditions of the tender requires new model vehicles whereas the rate bracket in the tender have not been increased in comparison to the inflation rate of last 5 years for the same route. The Drivers union President said they would not accept this injustice and they would stand with the Oil Tanker Owners association because already the transport sector in J & K is going through a very difficult time. He said the rates of maintenance of vehicles including cost of insurance, tyres, taxes have increased manifold but the rates provided in the BPCL tender does not match even the input cost of the transporters and labour of the drivers of the tankers. The Drivers union warned that if the BPCL authorities does not amend the terms and conditions of the tender notification so that even the marginalized transporters get

*डोडा में बस खाई में गिरी, 33 लोगों की मौत, 22 घायल* अस्सार डोडा में एक बस के सड़क से फिसलकर खाई में गिर जाने से तैंतीस लोगों की मौत हो गई और कम से कम 22 अन्य घायल हो गए। बताया कि बस Jk02CN-6555 की दुर्घटना में अब तक 33 लोगों की मौत की पुष्टि हो चुकी है और 22 अन्य घायल हुए हैं।
