We are proud to celebrate 25 glorious years of our mother publication, Sadin. It is a weekly tabloid from Assam with news, views, information and entertainment currently headed by the prolific writer of this region - Anuradha Sarma Pujari. Sadin is one of the most popular weekly Assamese newspapers. Today it stands as one of the pioneer weekly newspapers available online. It covers local, national
, international issues, politics and other events. In the year 1988, under the aegis of few literary enthusiasts - Vipul Mahanta, senior journalist Tilak Hazarika, and young businessman Jayanta Baruah, Sadin came into existence. The sole aim was to herald a new publication house that will cater to its people with news mainly focusing on socio political issues. Tilak Hazarika, who became the founder chief editor, was later joined by Ajit Kumar Bhuyan. During the initial stage Sadin's way forward was mostly discussed from the Pub Sarania residence of Mr. Pobitra Kumar Deka, who is largely considered to be a custodian of Assamese music, culture and literature. It was at this time that Jayanta Baruah, Chandan Chutia, Dilip Chandan and Ajit Kumar Bhuyan, drew the initial layout of Sadin. From then to now Sadin continues to serve its motto "for the people by the people". After Sadin, Jayanta Baruah's vision to stand for the masses became stronger with Asomiya Pratidin.
