Satyashodhak starts at Raigad fort, in the dark night with Mahatma Jyotirao Phule searching for a tomb of Shivaji Maharaj. He finds it in the dark bushes and the story travels back to 3 decades ago with various incidents of Jyotiba’s childhood. When Jyotirao Phule was young and getting married with Savitribai Phule, he was a Pahelwan in Lahuji’s akhada where all friends took oath to fight against British rule in India. A few days later at his Brahmin friend’s marriage, he gets insulted by an elderly Brahmin, as he belongs to a lower caste. Inspired by liberal thoughts and modern ideas, its here that Jyotirao Phule’s thought process changes towards social reforms in Indian society. He starts educating his wife and starts the first girls’ school of India in Bhide wada at Pune. Savitribai Phule thus also becomes the first lady teacher in British India. The couple later start working against all old incorrect traditions of India society, like child infanticides, untouchability, dev-dasi, widow’s hair removal, donations to brahmins in marriages and brings about many social reformatory changes. Naturally, he receives the ‘Mahatma’ award for all the reformatory social work he has done for society.

We are proud to present our rendition of Bantureethi Kolu. This is a devotional song composed by the Saint Thyagaraja in Hamsanadam Raagam and is about devotion to Lord Rama. We have kept the essence of the raga but added fusion elements to the rendition to give it a wider appeal. Through Dance, Vidya conveys the interpretation of the song where in the Saint is pleading to always be in Rama's presence. This is a very difrent type of project, exclusively filmed by a crew of 30 members for continuously 15 days, during staging of this unique Ramleela, being enacted every year on an open street of Bissau, a small town in Jhunjhunu District of Rajasthan, India, since 1857, as its roots are embedded in the first freedom struggle of India.
As no artist speaks any dialogue, hence it's called "Bissau Ki Mook Ramleela" or the "Silent Ramleela".
Singing of Choupaees and Dohas and in between narrative commentary from background describes the story of relevant events.
This Ramleela is staged by local ordinary citizens of Bissau, hence it can easily be called as the "Ramleela of the people, by the people and for the people."

Mosul is still haunted by ISIS. The city’s recent past has created an uncertain future, and perhaps nothing displays the city’s instability more accurately than its spike in child labor. Razzan, Hameed and Maher are three boys from Harmat, a neighborhood whose past ISIS -affiliation has created a pariah community. The young boys work in scrap collection which is used in building, recycling, and other industries in and outside of Iraq. In the city’s rubble, the boys travel in a cart looking for metal and plastic to melt and sell. The sole providers for their families, the danger of their work combined with their lack of access to education have come to define them. They are results of a war they have little memory of, potential symbols of Mosul's future.
