Negotiating Flight cancellations, Chennai Cyclone, diverted flights and an overnight bus journey- finally here for the evening. Seems satisfying that a film exploring herd walks of humans and animals premieres in Auroville.

Tuning Fork Films has been working on a documentary 'Herd Walk' (Bhed-Chal) for few years now. The film is on the Kurba-s, an incredible Nomadic shepherding community from Karnataka, India. We have been self-funding this passion project and now have launched a CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN to push us past the last stage of completing this film.

About the Panelists:

Shaunak Sen is a filmmaker and writer based in Delhi. He directed All That Breathes (2022) that won the Grand Jury Award at Sundance Film Festival, and the Golden Eye at the Cannes Film Festival. His previous film 'Cities of Sleep' (2016) featured in and won awards at various international film festivals. Shaunak holds a PhD in cinema studies and his academic writing has been published in various journals including Bioscope and Widescreen.

Aparna Sanyal, the Executive Director of Doc_Commune, PSBT's new mentorship program, is a multiple award-winning nonfiction director and producer, and the founder of Mixed Media Productions.
