The ruling firmly establishes the centreā€™s authority to dismiss state governments, invoke the Presidentā€™s rule, and contemplate state reconfiguration. While the constitutional integrity, unity, and integration of the nation remain sacrosanct, questions arise about the extent to which the Constitution confers upon the centre the power to divest a region of statehood. This departure from the judiciaryā€™s historical federalist stance raises pertinent questions about the evolving nature of Indiaā€™s federal polity. The opacity surrounding the process leading to such a significant constitutional position demands scrutiny. The extraordinary implications of the ruling set a precedent that reverberates through the corridors of Indiaā€™s political landscape, challenging the very fabric of federalism.

The seismic events in J&K hold the potential to redefine the political contours of the nation. As the people of the ā€˜erstwhileā€™ J&K state prepare to articulate their sentiments, the ruling becomes a touchstone for political theories that have framed Indiaā€™s Constitutional trajectory.

This shift towards a more centralized approach to judgment aligns with theories advocating a strong centre, such as the unitary system, which posits that a strong central authority is essential for national unity and stability. However, this departure also raises concerns about the potential erosion of state autonomy, echoing fears expressed by proponents of federalism.

.abdulhameed , the president of NSUI (National Studentsā€™ Union of India), and the Public Relations Officer of .n.prathapan , emphasized that the serious allegations made by BJP State President K. Surendran are entirely untrue, and they are prepared to pursue legal action. This statement was issued during a media interaction at the AICC headquarters.

The BJP in Kerala, facing setbacks in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, is currently embroiled in a fierce political battle. The accusations leveled against me by K. Surendran are part of an ongoing effort by the BJP-RSS leadership in Thrissur District and Kerala State to tarnish the reputation of Thrissur Lok Sabha Member Shri. T.N Prathapan. The relentless campaign by the Sangh Parivar against student leaders who vehemently oppose the ideologies of dictatorship and communalism deserves condemnation.

The allegations against me are particularly serious, falsely labeling me as a PFI leader at Jamia Millia Central University and incorrectly stating that I was questioned by the NIA in the Delhi Riots Case. These allegations not only target me personally but also go against the principles of democracy and secularism. As a student leader vehemently opposing the governmentā€™s divisive policies, I will not yield to the pressures of extremism.

Whether it pertains to the Delhi case or any other matter, I want to clarify that I have not been questioned by either the NIA or any other agency. I challenge K. Surendran to present concrete evidence to support his allegations against me. I have actively been exposing the failures of the BJP in the Manipur crisis, and some of my videos have gained traction on various social media platforms like Instagram. It is possible that this has provoked the BJP leadership. What is currently transpiring is a direct consequence of that. I will persist in my fight against discrimination and injustice imposed by the Sangh Parivar, which exploits religion to divide people.

Matthew Perry, the actor who gained fame playing Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom Friends, has died. He was 54.

Perry was found dead on Saturday afternoon in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home, the LA Times reported, citing law enforcement sources.

Perry became one of the worldā€™s most recognised actors for his role as the sarcastic, wisecracking Bing in NBCā€™s Friends, which ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.

Warner Bros TV, which produced Friends, said in a statement: ā€œWe are devastated by the passing of our dear friend Matthew Perry.

United Nations chief Antonio Guterres has renewed his demand for a ceasefire in Gaza and said that international law was being violated in the war between Israel and the Palestinian armed group Hamas.

ā€œIt is important to also recognise the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum. The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation,ā€ Guterres said.

ā€œBut the grievances of the Palestinian people cannot justify the appalling attacks by Hamas. And those appalling attacks cannot justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people,ā€ he said.

Nearly 5,100 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip since Israel launched a relentless bombing campaign against the besieged enclave after an attack by Hamas inside Israel more than two weeks ago, according to health officials.

About 40 percent of the 5,087 people killed are children, Gazaā€™s Ministry of Health said on Monday, the day when Israelā€™s army said it carried out more than 300 new air attacks within 24 hours. Palestinian officials said more than 400 people were killed in that period.

At least 500 people have been killed in an Israeli air strike on a hospital in Gaza City, multiple Palestinian agencies are reporting.

Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital was serving as a refuge for thousands of people either receiving or giving treatment or seeking shelter from further attacks from Israel after Gaza City and the rest of northern Gaza had been ordered to evacuate last week. The bombing reportedly took place around 7 p.m. local time.

If confirmed, the airstrike would be the deadliest single attack by Israel in five wars since 2008, the Associated Press reported. The number of casualties is expected to rise, officials said.

Some of this might seem relative, right? But hereā€™s the key: not all rituals or habits are compulsions. Sure, everyone double-checks things sometimes, right? However, a person with OCD generally: canā€™t control their thoughts or behaviors, even when they recognize them as excessive; dedicates at least 1 hour a day to these thoughts or behaviors; doesnā€™t derive pleasure from performing the behaviors or rituals but may feel brief relief from the anxiety the thoughts cause; experiences significant problems in their daily life due to these thoughts or behaviors.

As Iā€™ve been emphasizing, OCD is often misunderstood, with common myths perpetuating misconceptions. Firstly, itā€™s not solely about cleanliness and organization; it encompasses a wide range of obsessions and compulsions. Secondly, itā€™s not something everyone has a bit of; itā€™s a clinical disorder that significantly interferes with daily life. Thirdly, individuals with OCD canā€™t simply ā€œsnap out of itā€; itā€™s not a matter of willpower but a condition causing distress. It can begin in childhood and persist into adulthood, making early intervention crucial. Itā€™s not solely about anxiety; it involves intrusive thoughts and irrational fears too. Importantly, this isnā€™t a sign of weakness or character flaw; itā€™s a mental health disorder influenced by various factors. People with OCD donā€™t enjoy their compulsions; these behaviors are distressing. Fortunately, it is treatable through therapy and, if necessary, medication, allowing many to improve their quality of life.

Team India managed to produce an all-round dominant display to thrash rivals, Pakistan to secure a win by seven wickets. From the bowling department, it was the entire unit which was led by Jasprit Bumrah that restricted the Pakistan side to just 192 runs. In the second innings, it was Rohit Sharma that stole the show as he managed to dismantle the Paksitan bowling attack after which he was eventually dismissed for 86 off just 63 deliveries. Shreyas Iyer managed to raise his fifty and the winning runs to give India a big victory.

The latest Israel-Hamas war entered its eighth day on Saturday at least 3,200 have died on both sides since Hamas launched an unprecedented surprise attack on 7 October. Food is a memory.

A small ball of rice, dhal, ghee and a small piece of fish fry hidden in it like a surprise is one indestructible memory of home (or my grandmother).

After I left home, the whole idea of comfort food did change. An M Crunchy Burger and Cola is my broke girl comfort food. When my body feels repulsive to all the junk Iā€™ve been consuming, I order a Creamy Chicken Tikka Rice Bowl from The Good Bowl to settle my stomach and soul.

Once in a while I order a Blue Berry Cheesecake, not because I particularly like the taste of it but because the three words sounds appealing to my soul when put together. Yes! ā€œBlue Berry Cheesecakeā€
