🎬 Restoring a Classic: Manthan 🎬

Shyam Benegal's Manthan (1975) faced severe damage with green mold, fungus, and lost sound.
Restoring this cinematic gem required immense effort and support, especially from Amul and the Gujarat Milk Federation.

Filmmaker Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, The Film Heritage Foundatio and with the expertise of Prasad Corp, digitized and restored Manthan at 4K resolution, overcoming numerous challenges over a year and a half.
The restored print now closely matches Benegal's original vision.

Supported by Hollywood legends, this project highlights the importance of preserving regional Indian cinema.

Prasad Corporation is proud to be part of the making of Mark Antony, a film directed by Adhik Ravichandran. Prasad was involved in recreating the late glam queen Silk Smitha for about 4 minutes in the movie, leveraging AI with the help of its skilled VFX artists. Every effort has been made to make sure that her look-alike resembles Silk Smitha in every frame, right from her skin to her face and teeth. This film is expected to release on September 15, 2023.
