A ‘strong-willed’ child is someone who is challenging, fights for power, doesn’t accept instructions easily, asks reasons for everything but is also outspoken and never gives up easily when his/her heart sets on something.
Tips that helps me are :

❤️Build connection: Tell them how much you appreciate their efforts.

Example: I like how well you painted the picture. Can we now clean up, it’s dinner time?

❤️Give them control ,where you can.

❤️ Make their life predictable: They must know what to expect from the day. Surprises may not go very well with them.

❤️ Avoid threats/ultimatums: When parents use these tactics, they feel out of control and turn into a rebel.

Example: ❌ “This is your last chance to clean your room/finish your school work else I will take away your screen time.”

The moment you say this, it ends for them and the room won’t get cleaned.

❤️ Listen to their demands/wishes: Although you don’t wish to give in to their demands but you can empathise and give them other options.

❤️ Do not force or punish them often. When you force them they will push back. When you punish them they will start distancing themselves from you.

So it’s important to show support and connect with them.

Skills on Wheels !⁣ ⁣ Travelling in planes,trains automobiles ...its been long long trip..of celebrations- festivals,rituals,family&friends & wedding ofcourse...which stories you are watching..and many more to come....⁣ It definitely takes a toll on babies/kids ..especially while travelling so how to keep them at bay & relax on ur vacation.⁣ ⁣

BASIC TIPS that i am following.⁣ ⁣

1.KEEPING HYDRATED (Water,Coconut water,Cucumber,Juice,Chass,Lassi).Make sure you carry your own bottle of water.Besides other forms to replenish oneself.⁣ ⁣

2.FRUITS,NUTS & DRYFRUITS⁣ ( Bananas,Apples,Figs,Dates,Apricots,Almonds,Cashew,Raisins,Foxnuts ,Oats,etc..)⁣ They keep your tummy full besides providing much needed energy to go throughout.⁣ ⁣

3.PROBIOTICS⁣ ( Curd,Yogurt,Provision of probiotic medicine).As they are very helpful in keeping your health and digestive health in cheerful condition..so that you can enjoy ur vacay
4.HOME AWAY FROM HOME⁣ (Khichdi,Dalia,Upma,Puris,Theplas
I do carry instant mixes. So all i had to do was just add hot water ,or boil it .And haults at restaurants helped alot in packing some idlis or parathas for him⁣ .⁣
5.ACTIVITIES⁣ (Books,Colours,Balls,Cars ,some favourite videos)All travel and no play makes every baby cranky..so there were moments where he felt like a free bird dancing around once out of the car,train.But above items helped alot⁣ ⁣
6.**MILK & WATER⁣ ( Milk powder & Mineral water)⁣ Yes,these items if changed from place to place will definitely affect the health of your baby . ⁣ 🤞🤞Hope this helps mums traveling with kids. ⁣

Coz, There's Never a Special Reason Or Time to Treat Yourself! 💕 .

Today, we celebrate love and of course it's beautiful to love someone so much you bake him (or her) something sweet.

(I have been doing this, past 10 years and now Rhiaan also gets involved while i bake). I wish, this tradition of love just carried forward for years to come..

But, it's also ok if you don't have someone to share special moments with, and make it anyway. A special cake that is just for you.

Today I want to share with you the easiest chocolate cake with brown butter chocolate frosting. It so moist, creamy, dreamy... Real chocolate treat.

A quick & nourishing savoury pancakes that needs very less time to make and are super delicious. Great for breakfast/ dinner/lunchboxes. Follow @cuppaoflife for healthy recipes Recipe ✨ 1 cup Ragi / finger millet flour 2 tbsp Besan / chickpea flour 1/2 to 1 cup of lukewarm water 1 small beetroot 80g paneer Little water to blend the beet & panner 1tsp Ajwain seeds 1 small onion chopped 2 tbsp coriander leaves Salt as per taste Start by mixing ragi, besan & jeera powder with lukewarm water. Combine well and rest for 5 minutes Into a blender, add beetroot, paneer along with 2-3 tbsp water, and blend into a purée Add the purée into the ragi batter along with chopped onion, coriander leaves, Ajwain, and salt. Combine everything well.
