Educating The Next Generation
After speaking with numerous parents from right across the equine industry here in Ireland throughout the last few months. It became obvious that there is an underlying issue that they are worried.
This is right across all disciplines folks. And to be clear, this is an issue that we need to collectively address together.
We need to keep our sport and our industry clean.
We need to make sure that the next generation understands the risks they are taking if they do drugs and the impact taking drugs can and will have on their careers.
Be it recreational or aligning to performance, neither is acceptable. And we need to educate them so they know the chances they are taking, the risks involved and what they could be sacrificing.
Today marks the launch of a brand new campaign here at The Grassroots Gazette. A campaign to support and protect the futures of the next generation.
We’ve all made mistakes in life that as we get older we look back and say; we shouldn’t have done that or that one night, that one decision… it ruined so much.
Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be meeting all the representative bodies about this campaign. It’s needed, it’s important and it protects our industry.
Let’s be the change here, let’s support and protect the next generation and let’s keep our sport and industry clean.
Don’t do Drugs, don’t take the chance, don’t risk everything.
Please share this far and wide. We need to educate the next generation and get them behind this campaign too.

The HAY Campaign - How Are Ya? made history last year by bringing all corners of the equestrian industry together to talk about mental health
During its initial inception the @hay.campaign was told that it simply wouldn't happen, but with the help of many people in many disciplines those naysayers were proven wrong
But the @hay.campaign was created with one goal in mind, getting equestrians to talk about their mental health, to reach out if they were struggling or check in on someone they are worried about
This is why it took off, this is why every discipline wanted to get together to promote it, and this is why we are so grateful to @hay.campaign sponsoring dressage day at the #GRGRiderAcademy
The @hay.campaign launches again in January, but we also realise that this can be an incredibly tough time of year for people too, so do reach out if you need to talk to someone, and don't forget to ask those around you "HAY, how are ya?" And take the time to listen

"It's like Britain's got talent" 🤩
We knew that the #GRGRiderAcademy was a ground breaking series for a number of reasons, but to have an equestrian of Lucinda Fredericks calibre compare it to Britain's got talent confirms it 🙌
