We thank journalists who continuously strive to promote the voices of citizens let down by the public health service. We appreciate your continued efforts to hold government to task, when it comes to their failings in management of healthcare in Ireland.

We ask journalists to not only publicise the problems in healthcare, but the many solutions.

Healthcare Industry Providers must be employed to solve the Irish Public Healthcare Crisis.
Our three step Mandate for Change Policy is below:

1. End the Two-tier System
The Health Service Executive (HSE) must be replaced. This is not a new idea. In 2010 Fine Gael promised to abolish the HSE and introduce “a completely new health system”. Fine Gael planned to replace it as part of their five point election plan in 2010.

2. Fund Providers That Deliver
Healthcare providers with a proven track record in service provision must be awarded healthcare contracts. Contracts must be awarded on a service provision and cost to taxpayer basis.
Doctor retention does not seem to be a significant problem in the private sector.

3. Cut Healthcare Costs
To reduce costs in healthcare, the government must increase supply of industry personnel. The cap on training health professionals must be removed. Legally prohibit overcharging for publicly funded medical services, just like Germany.

Our Mission
To Implement our Mandate for Change Policy!
1. Public Health System Problems
Time after time we see headlines showing us failures of public health service provision in Ireland. People are suffering! The less well off in society must bear the brunt of problems in our public health service.

2. Government Health Policy Deficiencies
No more false promises. For many years now, there have been long waiting lists to see hospital consultants, long A & E waiting times, and reoccurring trolley crises. No matter what our government has said and done, these problems have not been resolved. We need to act now to prevent this continuing!

3. Inflated Healthcare Costs
To reduce the cost of medical care we need to:
Retain medical doctors and allied health professionals in Ireland by providing a respectful place of work.
Recruit & retain more doctors from abroad with by introducing successful management practices.
Train more health professionals at Irish Universities.

Health Service Reform is a body established to achieve much needed Reform of the Health Service in Ireland. The current public health service is failing to provide necessary timely healthcare to many people. Long health service waiting lists are causing delayed diagnosis and unnecessary suffering for many. The reoccurring trolley crisis and long A&E waiting times are an offence to those in need of urgent medical care. Change is badly needed!
