The Boyne Valley Trails September Walking Festival is back 15 to 22nd of September. Join us for family ambles, history tours, Nordic walks, hikes, whiskey tours and mythology adventures!

First up, we are returning to Beaulieu House & Estate with Dusty Boyne Valley Walking on Sunday 15th at 9:30am to explore the history, nature and wildlife. Please note this walk covers varied terrain, so we highly recommend waterproof footwear.

We are an artist owned and run studio. We work by chair rent. All the sundries included, you will have your own area, work station, chair etc. (you'll just need your machine and needles to work) earn as much as you decide.
You will need to have or build your own client base as it is a private studio. All styles are welcome. You must have 2 years shop experience, a strong portfolio. This is not an apprentice position

Planned water outage

Uisce Éireann is warning costumers in Drogheda of repairs to a major water main this Friday night.

The utility company say this will result in an outage from 10:30PM on Friday night and will return as quickly as possible on Saturday.

In a statement Senior Regional Operations manager at Uisce Éireann Stephen Burke, says “Uisce Éireann has identified that this section of water main is at risk of bursting and causing major disruption for customers, unless repair works are carried out. This is a complex and challenging project due to the size, and location of the pipe. Extensive preparation has taken place in advance to enable us to carry out these works and minimise impact on water supplies including the provision of water tankers. Our dedicated teams are in the process of contacting vulnerable customers and other stakeholders that will be impacted by this critical repair. The works are taking place over the weekend and at night to reduce the impact that this will have on schools, hospitals and businesses across Drogheda”.

Customers in Drogheda can access alternative water supplies at the following locations O Raghallaigh GFC, Newtown Blues GFC, Dalys Centra (AKA Johns Shop) and The Black Bull Inn

Also to facilitate the safe delivery of the project, traffic management will be in place along a portion of the carriageway of the Drogheda Retail Park Roundabout and along a section of the L-1003 to the turn for the Newgrange Business Park from Thursday (29 August) until Sunday (1 September). Local and emergency traffic access will be maintained.

Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and, as a precaution, boil the water before drinking.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X with any queries.

🚧Platin Road Resurfacing Works🚧

Platin Rd (R152) will be closed to traffic between its junction with the Beamore Rd (R108) and its junction with Donore IDA Rd (L-1521) on Monday 26/08/24, Tuesday 27/08/24 and Wednesday 28/08/2024 from 7pm to 6am, diversion signs will be in place.

For part of the works there will also be a stop / go traffic – pedestrian management plan in place.

This is to facilitate road re resurfacing works
