Velikis> Show for jazz nerds as I speak, this Sunday on the theme of "1959 The year that changed Jazz".
In 1959, 4 albums were released, each of which paved the way for new currents, forms and trends of Jazz. On this show we will listen to songs from these albums, talk about the artists who were involved with them, and try to give as much information as I can about these people.
The mentioned trays are:
1) Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
2) Dave Brubeck - Time out
3) Charles Mingus - Mingus Ah Um
4) Ornette Coleman - The shape of jazz to come
The show is inspired by the documentary "1959, The Year that Changed Jazz, A documentary behind the making of four Great albums in 1959".
