Yes, it is finally available again!!! One of the finest recordings of Florida's Prog / Power scene: Demo 1987 by MINDCAGE. A great example of the classic mid 80s Ryche sound captured on tape. An outstanding debut release that marked the course of this excellent band.

Recorded back in Spring of 1987, initially it was a demo that was shopped to several record labels and garnered the interest of Mike Varney, CEO of Shrapnel Records. However, plans were scrapped after creative differences could not be resolved between the band and the label's producer. Despite this setback, MINDCAGE soldiered on, and in 1992 they did a short run of cassette tapes of their initial recording to make their music more widely available. These tapes were sent to the press and fans far and wide.

"Chrononaut" is dedicated to the memory of Tom Williams, the band's original frontman, whose tragic passing in 2020 was a tremendous loss. His voice and vision were instrumental in carving out MINDCAGE's distinctive path in the metal world from the onset. His contributions are celebrated in this early recording, which we are proud to share far and wide.

One of the most important recordings of the US Prog/Power underground is available again: Remastered from scratch by Kostas Scandalis (Infinity Studios, Thessaloniki, Greece), packed with complete lyrics, photos and an extensive biography by band's guitarist Dietrick Hardwick.

RED RAVEN & PROPHET from Kansas City, Missouri, US. Both bands delivered a magnificent combination of Progressive Hard Rock and Melodic Metal featuring the outstanding voice of Don Crosby (who was the singer of Wyred, another great band from Kansas City, Missouri. Their magnificent full length "Image" that has been reissued on Arkeyn Steel Records).

Crosby was the common member, and main composer in both bands that never went too far, but fortunately managed to record some brilliant music: PROPHET released their "Potential" demo back in 1988 and RED RAVEN recorded a bunch of songs back in 1991, songs that remained unreleased until today.

The complete set of all these demo recordings is now available on CD. All the songs have been carefully remastered from the original tapes by Kostas Scandalis (Infinity Studios, Thessaloniki, Greece). Don Crosby himself has written the included biography. The one and only existing Prophet’s photo has been saved, restored and included in the booklet. Complete lyrics are included as well. Kostas Athanasoglou developed the overall artwork of the booklet and arranged a great fantasy cover.

This is not just another reissue: This is a wonderful voyage to deep emotion and musical expression. This is the kind of music that deserves to live eternally and not to be buried in a dusty vault, under future fortunes its travels begin again!

BROCAS HELM was one of those bands that continued to release demo tapes between their albums. Those tapes made quite an impact through the years thanks to the great song versions they featured -different than the ones on the full lengths-. "Do you have any BROCAS HELM demos?" was a quite common request back in the tape-trading days.

REVELATION from Boston, Massachusetts, USA. One of the 8000 rock / metal bands that have been tracked down around the area back in the late 80s. Each one of them was chasing the dream, recording and releasing demos, performing live shows and taking place in "Battle of the Bands" contests. A different age, a different shape of the music industry, a different game.

REVELATION have released their "Secrets in the Dark" demo tape back in 1990. This demo simply includes some of the finest melodic US Metal that you can ask for. It was an instant goal for the Arkeyn Steel Records team to establish a reissue project for this masterpiece. We started the reissue process four years ago and in many cases we have reached the "it is never going to happen" phase: Lost master tapes, lack of even the basic information -for example song titles-, no photos or visual material in general etc. Thanks to the kindness and patience of guitarist and founding member Jay Giampapa we managed to overcome all these issues and to discover that there is even more material available by this magnificent band:

Back in the mid-90s they have changed their name to SILENT SCREAM, evolving their sound to a more prog direction and recording a bunch of magnificent songs in the vein of the first era of Fates Warning. Songs that remained unreleased until today.

We have managed to gather all this material, presenting a release that features everything that this outstanding band has ever recorded: The complete "Secrets in the Dark" demo from 1990 plus the entire set of the SILENT SCREAM recordings from 1995-1996. We even managed to restore live and unreleased REVELATION songs, adding them to the list.

Everything has been remastered from scratch by Kostas Scandalis at infinity studio (Thessaloniki, Greece) for the best audio quality. The artwork has been developed by Kostas Athanasoglou and lots of never before seen photos are included in the booklet.

Finally, an in depth interview by, Chris Papadakis, with guitarist and founding member Jay Giampapa is featured. This interview actually spans the entire band's history.

Well this is not just a reissue. Arkeyn Steel Records is saving some metal history in here, resurrecting from oblivion the miracles of a magnificent band, before they get lost forever.

The secrets in the dark are now brought to light.
