The Ordination of Two Elders at Plumstead SDA Church – Plumstead Communications

Plumstead Community SDA church is blessed to have dedicated members to serve the Lord.

Sabbath 20th May was a sunny day, and hearts were warmed, and the ordination of an elder and a deacon lifted spirits.

Elder Emmanuel Agor has served the church faithfully for several years. During the pandemic, he organised Zoom meetings faithfully and proved to be an invaluable and dedicated pastoral team member. We are filled with joy for Elder Agor and his family, and we pray that his ministry will grow and flourish.

The second ordination was for Bro Orenza Mothersill. He, too, has been a faithful and committed servant; he rarely sits down and is always ready to support others with a smile and a sharp sense of humour.

We pray that God will bless their ministries as they serve the church and the community as we await our Saviour's return. Pastor Adil Habib conducted the ordinations.

SEC Youth Ministries Mission to Cancún – Jordan Gilbert

In the heart of Cancún, Mexico, I embarked on a life-changing mission trip alongside over 30 dedicated volunteers, mainly from the SEC, with some from the NEC, led by Pastor Anthony Fuller, SEC youth director. Our goal was to spread the message of faith, hope, and love while providing support, inspiration, and uplifting experiences to the local community. Little did we know that this journey would touch the lives of those we encountered and transform our hearts and souls.

In the months leading up to our trip, we diligently prepared ourselves for the mission ahead. We discussed logistics, challenges, and fundraising opportunities through numerous virtual meetings and in-person gatherings. It seemed like an impossible task for some, but we trusted that God had a plan for every one of us. We delved into Bible verses such as Philippians 4:13, reminding us we can do everything through Christ who strengthens us.
