A massive indoor adventure park has been confirmed for part of the former John Lewis store in atria Watford 😱

Flip Out is planning to remodel the former department store ahead of a planned opening later this year.

The multimillion pound venue will feature a variety of attractions for children and families including a large 'Ninja Playground', dodgems, roller skating rink, donut slides, trampolines and a “huge” inflatable area.

Police officers are out on patrol across the county as usual today, Wednesday 7 August, aware that our communities may be feeling concerned by social media speculation amid national news.

“I would like to reassure Hertfordshire residents and businesses that your neighbourhood policing teams are here alongside you, working hard in the community to reassure people and keep them safe,” said Chief Superintendent Ruth Dodsworth, of Hertfordshire Constabulary.

“Hertfordshire is a safe county and we want people to feel safe to go about their lives as normal. Across the country policing is always prepared to tackle any problems and Hertfordshire is no different.”

She added: “We are aware of rumours and speculation circulating online which reference possible ‘gatherings’ in Hertfordshire today.

“Disinformation has been a huge driver of the appalling violence we have seen across the country, and we know a lot of those taking part are doing so in direct response to what they’ve read online.

“Please refrain from sharing these ‘gathering’ details in any way as it may only serve to increase fear and tension.

“We want to reassure people that we have additional resources on duty despite no confirmed evidence of any so-called events locally.

“We would encourage you to report any disinformation and criminal behaviour to the police online at https://orlo.uk/t6Omb or by calling 999 in an emergency.”
