Got to perform on a bandstand and do an emergency DJ battle with Wayne Hemmingway to close the ace ace Festival of Thrift this last weekend oooop North. Letting kids choose and put on my records for family dancing fun fun....

Reasonable to say they had a fab 50th… Gloriously fancy dressed crowd of friends… they did ask for games… Ummm soooo Ok… everyone form an aisle.., Then everyone walked up it and i judged fancy dress prizes…. Followed by getting the entire room into a hokey cokey circle with the birthday couple and their teen kid in middle… was brilliant…. Then onto rock’n’roll and the Can Can…. Full on eclectic music joy ensued with much arms in air and obligatory rave phase…..

A couple of ladies at the end fully entranced by my skills…,, after jollying them along and saying yes i travel distance to DJ when booked… i had to say ‘heeeeelp’ on the mic to rescue myself 🤣….

One of them evidently felt inspired as she came around and said something quite profound really…. That i must feel a great sense of gratitude for being able to do what i do… indeeeeedy yes i am very fortunate and grateful!! 🙂
