We focus on creating amazing recordings in a peaceful, laid-back environment with the best vintage & modern gear. Tilehouse Studios is equipped with a fantastic selection of the best of vintage and modern Equipment. We specialise in Analogue recording and have one of the best-sounding tape machines ever made: a 2-inch 16-track Studer A800; as well as Apogee Symphony digital converters for the best

possible analogue or digital sound. Originally built for Mike Oldfield in 1981, the two room studio is now managed by producer, songwriter and musician Luke Oldfield who played alongside Mike at the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony. Artists who have used the studio include Jamie Cullum, Fish from Marillion, The Wytches, The Last Dinosaur, The Tremeloes and Kee Marcello from the band Europe. Set in rustic Buckinghamshire countryside among woods and fields, Tilehouse Studios is the perfect creative retreat, where you can get away from the bright lights and stress of the city without having to travel for hours. There are various Accommodation options (Hotel and B&B) on our doorstep should you wish to stay and enjoy the peaceful surrounds when rehearsing or recording with us.
