Tonight’s supermoon from Mumbles. The plan was to head for Burry Port but a crash on the M4 meant we detoured to Mumbles. Two amazing clear nights in a row to see the moon 👌

It’s that time of year again…😀

I’ve just finished designing next years calendar and it’ll be off to the printers soon. I will be doing two sizes again, A3 and A4 and the prices will be - A3 £15, A4 £12.50. Postage and packaging will be £5 if required.

My first visit to the Mach Loop yesterday. Unbelievable experience watching the planes roll through the Welsh mountains and come flying past at eye level. A pair of F-15 Strike Eagles passed through in the afternoon and then went and did a second loop. It was incredible to watch and I managed to catch this one as it turned through 👌

Full moon at mumbles last night. Low clouds behind the lighthouse blocked my original plan but then as I was driving home the moon appeared so I quickly stopped and took this across the bay.

A hazy night of Astro at St Michael’s Mount last week. I turned up hoping to see the Milky Way over the castle but there was way too much low haze around. I gave up after a while as the mist got stronger, I still quite like this without the Milky Way though.

I spent Sunday on Skomer Island and although it was very quiet with the puffins out at sea, it’s always a great day out on the Pembrokeshire Coast. Here’s a puffin amongst the bluebells.

Very memorable experience to watch a Tawny Owl and it’s Owlets in the wild for the first time last night. Took a few hours for them to become a bit active and managed to catch this little one poking out of the tree from afar. Then as I started leaving after sunset, they started to hoot to each other 🦉 #tawnyowl #photography #wildlife
