The theme of this year's Christmas Festival is cheeky Elves, so put your thinking caps on - on Sunday 26th November we'll be taking a walk around Leyburn to see what those naughty Elves have been up to in your gardens or outside your house. Send us a photo of what your elf has been up to and the picture with the most likes will win a prize.

Join us in giving a warm welcome to our new Electrical Apprentices who have recently started here at the Museum and are already demonstrating great enthusiasm for their chosen craft and its long history.

👋 Meet Luke & Stanley! 👋

Over the next two years, studying between Wakefield College and the Museum, both Apprentices are working towards a NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Engineering and completing the Electrical Technician (Underground) competence portfolio. They will be qualified Electricians and Mine Guides upon completion of their apprenticeships.

They truly are the future of the Museum and vital for keeping mining heritage alive for generations to come. We look forward to supporting them and seeing what they achieve over the coming years. 👏
