Good morning all, I am doing some research and I would love to know...

What makes a great Facebook Group? Think about the groups you are part of and why you visit them regularly.

Here are just a few things to help you think about that but add your own as well. It would really help me so thanks in advance 😀

Do you stay (in groups) because of the topic?

Do you stay because you like the other members?

What makes a great Facebook Group host?

What do you hate about Facebook Group groups?

How often do you actively engage in a group? And why?

Can you give me examples of some brilliant groups you are a member of and why you are a member of that group?

What keywords make you think of the positive groups you are a member of i.e. community/trust/likeminded/care/relationship/great products/services and any others you can think of.

Instagram has reported that they are introducing new features and resources to support parents and teens who use the platform.

They have developed new parent guides to complement the current parent guides available currently.

They want to make the platform safe for teenagers so that they can use it to "strengthen connections, practice social skills and find supportive communities".

Honest post over here 👋

I dropped the ball last week. I had an emergency situation, which is still ongoing, and I needed to prioritise that.

I then ensured that my client's work was completed on time and they were fully aware of the situation. Thankfully my clients are a dream and have been very supportive. But it meant that I didn't have time to undertake any marketing or development work for my own business.

But it's only a week I hear you say. And I might have agreed with you when I worked for a large organisation where everyone was employed to do pretty much the same role. We had different clients but whoever was able to cover on that day could meet the client's needs well enough until your return because there were systems in place to accommodate for emergencies.

However, working as a freelance social media coach or running any business either small all large means that you need to have systems in place to ensure that you can hand the work over to others should you need to.

Now I have supported many businesses with setting up or restructuring their systems and it's something that I love doing as part of my role but because I love it so much, even when there isn't an emergency, that I tend to focus on the client work that I love and not my own.

Anyone else guilty of this? 🙈

So, this month's goal is to go back and have a look at my own systems and improve on the areas that need it. This is an ongoing task but thankfully I have the resources to improve my systems.

For instance, I have years of experience working together with people and organisations to refine systems and I have joined the Andrew and Pete Atomic programme and they are all about creating systems so you can work more efficiently.

Make a home and work task list.

Prioritize the most important tasks. Then delegate as many as you can and add the rest to your calendar and get them done.

I am doing exactly the same this afternoon. We can it!!!

Have you heard about Instagram Live Rooms Yet?

It's a new feature where you can broadcast live with 3 other people on Instagram. Great for those of us that dread the thought of going live alone.

So what ways can we use this new feature I hear you ask?

Can you believe these figures?

1 billion users every month on Instagram across the world (Hootsuite) And a whopping 30.36million of those are from the UK (Statistics.com).

Instagram is a competitive space so are you making sure you are showing up regularly enough?

Here are some tips to reach your ideal customers on the gram.

⭐Show up:

We’ve all done it, forgotten to post but if we post consistently our customers will see us regularly and will start to know, like and trust us plus, they will want to connect with us.

⭐Post with value:

When you create your posts show your value and why people should choose your products or services.

Show them what you do, how you do it, why you do it and why it is something needed by your customer.

⭐Engage with your ideal customers:

Instagram is a wonderfully sociable place and it feels good when people are genuinely interested in us and what we post. Choose people whose content you enjoy and genuinely tell them how you feel.

Happy Saturday everyone!

This is me cuddling my gorgeous 12 year old Border Terrier Yoshi. We pronounce her name Yoshi like poshy and not Yo-she like the friendly dinosaur character in Super Mario Bros.

She loves to bark at the post people, chase tennis balls, eat whatever she can find that's been dropped under the dining room table, long walks, lots of sleep and cuddles and quiet time with me in the evenings.

🐫What is Camel Case and why is it important to use it?🐫

Hashtags are used in Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms to help your content to connect to specific topics, themes and conversations.

But imagine if you could not read the hashtag because you are visually impaired and needed to use a listening device to understand what the hashtag was referring to.

For instance, this is an example of a non camel case hashtag . All letters are lowercase.

And this is an example of a camel case hashtag .
The addition of the capitol or uppercase letter separating the words enables the listener to hear the different words more clearly.

Using this simple tip will help you to communicate better with more of your customers and to be a more inclusive business. Remember the humps!

Have you planned your content for next week/month or does it feel impossible with everything else going on at the minute?

Oh I know, it feels like the last thing you want to do but once you plan it out and schedule it to post at the correct times you can sit back and focus on the things you enjoy.

Such as another work task that needs doing or home-schooling your kids, or you may have just made some “you time”. Whatever it is. You have just freed up your time so congratulations and hooray!! 🥳

Remember, here's how to make the impossible, possible again:

⭐Choose one day a week that you use to spend a couple of hours on planning and creating your content and you will feel amazing for it.
