Reading Reggae Collective

The Reading Reggae Collective brings together aspiring reggae musicians and professionals for performances at the Peace and Love Concerts and showcase events as part of the online Distant Mix project to celebrate musical diversity. and provide both emerging and established artists with access to high quality live music venues for showcase performances.

Led by Grammy award winning producer and musician Don Chandler in partnership with CultureMix the Reading Reggae Collective enables young musicians from in and around Reading to access mentoring, support and professional opportunities to reinvigorate the reggae music scene. The Reading Reggae Collective music will be recorded and distributed through CultureMix Records, a new independent record label co managed by Don. The label’s first signing is reggae singer songwriter Jnr Watson who recorded an album’s worth of material at BBMC studios with produced by Don Chandler with Grammy award winning engineer James Zugasti at the controls
