Our head/cabinet switcher & selector, some of the guitars available to record on and some boutique-beautiful heads available.

Our De Lisle head/cab system allows you to have multiple guitar heads on stand-by, in the control room, routed to, potentially, 8 sets of speaker cabinets. Or, have amps running simultaneously, isolated in the live the room. The flexibility is huge but even better, allows us to do a whole ton of guitar work from the comfort of the control room.

The guitars here are all wildly unique and ready to step-in on any situations. Each guitar has a real story and more importantly, has been worked on by skilled hands to serve every situation you could ask. The pick ups in these things - seymour d, fishman, bare knuckle - to name a few.

Heads - we have it covered. The creamiest cleans to the most sickening gain.

A guitar players dream and, of course, above all else, is ready for you to throw your rig in the system with minimal faff and get to your personal destinations 🙂✌️.

Alrighty folks!! This is happening and will only happen once! The lowest flat fee on production of a live session since we opened in 2019.
For those who don’t know - we offer the recording/filming, mixing, mastering and editing of live sessions top to bottom entirely in house on pro audio recording studio rig and 4K/HD multi-cam visual rig.
Over the years we’ve racked up all kinds of credits either audio, visual or all for names such as:

We’re finally delighted to share all the results of the previous 3 months!
We undertook a mammoth refurb, fitting of a whole new recording rig/system and have added a boat load of features, tools and overall changes to make the space even more able to produce world class recordings.

And so, the schedule is wide open to welcome any and all to make some real magic 🙂.

We recently finished up a strong 9 day stint with Sam, Mowgli & The Misfits .
We had a ton of various parts to get through from guitars, acoustic guitar, vocals, percussion, organ & keys plus a monster load of comping on the 23 songs he’s been working on.
Day 1 we set up the live room so we can jump between everything seamlessly. Was a hyper productive 9 days 🙂🤙

Over here, we love recording and everything about recording.
Very thankful to have an innate, natural fascination and passion for recording drums and to have found the perfect room to build a studio around in which to record over at All Silk Recording Studio.

"Over the months I've been recording and filming kit soundchecks to put together at a later date. The time finally came and they were super fun to put together. Couldn't thank Eddy Geach, Leopard Rays, The Drum Tamer and SWEARS enough for their trust and talents.

Here is a short video spanning some spot mic checks and full kit checks to give a good idea and feel of how kits and the space sound here :).

In summary, especially in these projects, I've been loving deep & punchy kick/toms and on snare a two mic combo of either a 7B & ProCaster/Heilpr30 going through the rooster II tube distortion pre. Couldn't begin to write up the rest of what goes into the final captures.

We have a huge batch of tracks on the go after 6 months of steady graft.
As we have vocals, organ/keys, acoustic, electric and percussion all to work through and a ton of comping - I’ve set the large live room so that we can jump between seamlessly for the entire stint 🙂✌️. Have a look around!

We had the incredible 'MUKOW' in last week recording a live 6 track EP and 2-track live session.
All laid down in less than a 10 hour session.
The guys are a 2-piece, hardcore/doom style drums/bass instrumental band. Safe to say we re-branded to 'All Filth' for the day & a hell of a day it was.
Sounding absolutely monstrous. Can't wait to share 🙂🤙.

Following extensive reading from multiple sources, including government & union guidelines, we are incredibly relieved to say All Silk Recording Studio remains open for sessions.
This is huge news for us.
We are still operating session time at -50% off for the rest of 2020 and understandably some bookings this month won’t go ahead so we have lots of availability for bookings. Singles, EPs, Albums, Live Sessions.

As all of our Mixing & Mastering is handled by ourselves at a separate,optimised facility we took the approach of making All Silk Recording Studio a fully recording/tracking specific space.

Our live room is 27ft x 23ft of floor space with a 15ft high ceiling which in terms of sound, is a dream come true. We are forever optimising this beautiful asset with hand made acoustic solutions; meaning our recordings are undeniably sonically rich. This is because we have full control over how a source sounds acoustically. We strongly believe in the use of acoustics
in recording to deliver a sound full of character, integrity and realism.

Latest addition to the AS back line is this TAMA SLP 14x8 steel snare. Lush matte black nickel finish.
Can not wait to get a power stroke on this and get it through the Rooster II pre. Grabbed a 42wire strainer too so the vibe is large.
