I've been kinda interested in the process of colourising black and white photos for a while now. I thought I'd give it a go, experimenting with combining AI colourisation with more traditional techniques. Quite time consuming but the AI colourisation helps speed up some of the more fiddly work and the first rought tests look promising 🙂

Making the prop knife for 'HALLOWEEN 2020'. I carved the handle and cut multiple blades out of balsa wood. The blades were covered with electrician's foil. We went trough about 6 blades for my death scene!

So Lord of the Rings is coming to 4k Blu Ray! But wait - it was shot on film and scanned at 2k. All VFX were rendered at 2k. I hear it's been remastered by PJ, but are we really to believe that the film's been rescanned at 4k and all VFX shots re-rendered?
