My Story

The Studio

I built a Multitrack Digital Recording Studio at my home address consisting of two rooms seperated with a multicore,both rooms are sound proofed,the live room is being upgraded to sand filled walls for loud drumkits that are too loud even on a stage.

The control room uses a Soundcraft 16ch Delta as a interface for microphones and di signals like bass and acoustic instruments,this passes to the pc recording software via two Motu 8 ch interfaces on firewire,I have and use hardware Drawmer compressors for vocals etc and have a large selection of microphones from Rode.Shure,AKG,and a T1 Beringer Tube microphone for that full and ballsy sound. I have Lexicon reverbs via plugins plus noise gates etc ,running in Cakewalk ver 8.5 on the studios computer, I love using my vintage IMF Electronics Studio Monitors from the 70,s because they sound as flat and clean as the day i got them 30 years ago and they are British made.

The Live Public Address sound systems

1, Sound Rigs start at Vocal only systems(800w),

2, Next size rig is 12ch soundcraft desk, two large Peavey HP400 full range FOH speakers (1000w) or two martin audio tops on stands+one martin subwoofer. Up to four stage monitors(500w-1000w) for on stage use , full FOH control gear, Lexicon reverb, Drawmer Quad compressors, Quad noise gates, And duel 31 band Graphics at the desk for front of house and monitors using Yamaha industry spec graphics.

3, The big daddy of small rigs, Small and compact and as loud as you want within reason, 10k of Martin Audio speakers, Soundcraft 32ch K3 mixing desk, Full Control gear ,All Microphones and Di boxes , Four custom made 2x10” Wedges on stage for vocals etc and one Drumfill (500w ) for the drummer . 2 mixes on stage. Fully PAT Tested equiptment. This Rig comes with two operators and you supply at least 2 roadies to move this gear inside the venue and out.
