Lovely morning with Ella from Norfolk Wildlife Trust who gave advice about how to help hedgehogs to Growing Matters for Lefroy Rd .
Walking back along Hedgehog Alley, we smelled the delicate privet blossom which prompted this video.
Be proud of your historic privet hedges, Mile Cross!💚
Take a stroll along the lane from Peterson Park today. The rain has released the delicate fragrance of the elder flowers, the sparrows are chirping happily and the wildflowers are providing great foraging for the bees. Magical!

MXPEG (Mile Cross Projects & Events Group) asked a question at a Norwich City Council meeting last week, about how our local community will be consulted on changes to Sloughbottom Park.
Here's the video of the question and answer (and the full meeting is online here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X6ensyVeKc)
A representative from the council will now come to the next MXPEG meeting on Thursday 29th February, 12-2pm at the Phoenix Centre - MX (light lunch included). If you've got opinions about improvements to Sloughbottom Park, please join us there! Or send a message if you would like a point to be raised on your behalf.

30 people came on the amazing bat walk last night in Sloughbottom Park! We saw and heard and learnt lots (the best bit was the cute raspberry noise bats make when they catch an insect!) Thanks to Norfolk & Norwich Bat Group, Norfolk Wildlife Trust and Phoenix Centre - MX

Hi, I’m Kate from the Sue Lambert Trust.
We’re a charity supporting people who’ve experienced sexual violence, either in childhood or as an adult. We mostly provide counselling and support groups, as well as some practical and emotional support.
I’m going to be at the Phoenix Centre - MX every Monday afternoon in April from 1 to 4, to raise awareness about the Sue Lambert Trust’s work and the support we can provide, as well as signposting to other services. There is also space for confidential discussions, if that would be helpful.
Really looking forward to meeting you.
