We are flat out at the moment preparing for the Mojo Flow Dance Festival and Show (www.mojoflow.co.uk) taking place this weekend. We have to bring together teachers and students from around the world as well as setup an equally international show with pre-recorded and live elements streamed in real time. It is going to be a great show and we are proud to be involved!

Had a fantastic afternoon on Sunday recording a live dance class for the divine Fulya it's the fourth one we have done this year! This time we got to try our our amazing new wireless video senders! We will be streaming the Kookie Souk Day - Performers Cafe & Workshops with Fulya live on zoom later this year, can't wait!

We have a job doing a trial stream of a dance workshop for a customer today and we are all packed and ready. The aim is for the teacher to be able to offer hybrid workshops, partly to widen the audience but also to help keep people safe. If all goes well we will have a more to do over the summer!

It is a difficult time for a lot of people right now and there are always those who are willing to play on that desperation to scam money out of people. Be aware that there are many scams like this one going around at the moment.

The NHS will NEVER ask you to press a button on your keypad or send a text to confirm you want the vaccine, and NEVER ask for payment or for your bank details.

Zoom took away the Unmute All feature some time ago. They have since implemented an option that allows you to ask your participants for permission to unmute them but many people either don't know its there or don't know how to turn it on so I put together this quick guide, hopefully you will find it useful!

Another new toy arrived today. This should allow us to bring something new to our systems meaning we can stream to a specific location rather than to YouTube, Facebook etc. Tonight will be spent learning how it works and what we can do with it.

We have a new tool in our toolbox! 8 input channels and USB connection directly into the PC! Frustratingly I am missing a cable before I can hook it up and test it fully but that's what Amazon prime is for :D

Spent the day getting setup on both Twitch and Restream meaning that not only do we have another platform we can stream to if necessary, but we also now have the means to stream to multiple platforms at once!

Today the clear up from the Mojo Flow Festival yesterday! Had a fantastic day, a few technical hiccups such as YouTube telling me "Streaming Services Not Available" when I clicked the Go Live button on the stream. The panic caused me to forget to mic up one of our presenters but thankfully that was the worst of it and the stream was up and running swiftly.

Such a fun day with workshops and a great show that is available to watch on YouTube if you didn't catch it yesterday.

We are busy preparing for the Mojo Flow Festival this weekend. The last time we did one of these shows we ran it on two PC's and a phone with two web cams. This time its looking like we are going to have six PC's and a phone, multiple Zoom sessions plus a number of camera angles!

We love pushing the boundaries of what we can do each and every time! It ramps up the stress but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Zoom has made some updates to their audio settings in recent patches, they seem to have made a good effort into making their systems better for musicians and music in general. However it meant the guide we put together was out of date! I have now got it up to date with the new settings that have worked for me. I am keen to know if others have similar experiences with the new settings.

Using NDI Technology we helped create this introduction to Zoom video for attendees of the Mojo Flow Festival in October. NDI is a very powerful tool and this experience has give us lots of ideas about what else we can do with it.

The first Mojo Flow show went so well we decided to do another one. We now knew how to bring live elements in via Zoom and we worked hard to make the show even better.

Unfortunately we now started to get to the limits of what the technology we had available could do. Nonetheless we managed to put on a great show and learned even more about what we can do better in the future.

One tip I would like to pass on is that YouTubes live streams have a much lower tolerance on their content filters than the software used to check the uploads. Our show was cut slightly short by an act that could be uploaded without issue but the Live Stream algorithms decided it was inappropriate. Thankfully we only lost a bit of the last act and the rest of the show went well!

We did so much with our first show given how little time we had to get up to speed and for the first Mojo Flow show we wanted to push out the boat even more and make it even better. We managed to incorporate Zoom to bring live performers from around the country into the show.

It brought a whole raft of technical difficulties but it worked and we overcame!

We created the Mojo Flow show as an idea to try and encourage people to use technology to keep their creative Mojo Flowing during Lock down!
