From a young age retired engineer Mike Millen (@mikemrun) had always had an active lifestyle. However, it wasn’t until his 60s that his passion for sport, fitness and playfulness stirred him into becoming a fitness influencer.
Now 71 years young, the real-life Peter Pan has become a bit of an adventurer as well. Two weeks before this interview he went on a solo trip to Utah, and did his first base jump, abseil and canyon swing.
Thrill seeking has no age limit, or with age comes wisdom and more sophisticated mischief.

This film was shot with inspirational model Frances Dunscome, age 92.
Frances embodies so much of what inspires us at KYN where to ‘care’ is to honour our residents as unique individuals and to embrace the person they were and the person they are today.
Frances became a model aged 82. Her first commission was for Prada with Hunger magazine, and she then walked for London Fashion Week 2015, for Chinese designer Youjai Jin.
Since then, Frances’ portrait for photographer Josh Redman won the John Kobal Photography Award and National Portrait Gallery’s peoples choice award.
She has also taken the front cover for Harpers UK and had commissions for Zalando, Boden, Coutts, and Getty and most recently, KYN.
