Our Story
We are a group of like minded lawyers who have come to New Media Law to “Boldy go where no [lawyer] has gone before....!” Or as Oscar Wilde famously put it: “We are all of us standing in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars!”.
We strive to give top quality legal advice in a friendly, and cost effective, new way...
We provide legal advice to commercial organisations, notably in the creative industries - with a niche focus on new media.
Our clients range from individuals to multi-national corporations (including in the music, film, broadcasting and publishing industries). As a boutique practice we take pride in tailoring our services to suit the specific needs of each individual client.
New Media Law was set up in Dean Street, Soho, in January 2002 by Ian Penman and Paul Hosford. We moved to Little Portland Street in 2009, and to Hanover Square in November 2014, where we now are.
