Christmas and New Year has been mostly spent moving a music studio! Big thanks to Conor Cotterill and Michael Stephenson for helping me with the heavy stuff and Jeff Goody for his technical expertise. Still a long way to go but can just about manage vocal recording and some basic tracking now and rehearsals by the end of the week so get in touch if we can help..

Latest mustard seed production and one of the faves …. 3 tips & tricks from the recording:

1. Recorded bass strings with a pencil mic in addition to the usual amp and DI recording. Gives it a slight double bass feel as you hear a lot more of the fingers and percussive noises

2. Did a standard double track acoustic guitar part in left and right channels but used a different guitar for each side seems to make it richer and wider.

3. Used a tiny bit of crystalliser on the drum bus in the verses that adds some repeating extra harmonics for atmosphere and additional rolling rhythm. Massive fan of soundtoys

Dubaway - Dom Clark Trio feat made it onto this weeks mixtape. Recorded mixed and mastered at the mustard seed. We have a lot of reggae bands rehearsing and recording here so hope we can do a small bit of representing. Thank you
