🎉 Last week, we hosted an Exclusive Listening Party for Vintage Culture’s upcoming album, ‘Promised Land’.
Fans got to experience the album in our Dolby Atmos room, a performance by Maverick Sabre, who was featured on the album, in Studio A, and a signing session. 🎶

“All In A Dream“ by Austin-based producer, DJ, pianist and activist LP Giobbi (@lpgiobbi) is released via @ninjatune
To give you a bit more of an insight, LP Giobbi was tipped as Spotify’s (@spotify) EQUAL Ambassador, she was also Spotify RADAR’s Artist to Watch 2022, as well as one of Amazon’s (@amazonmusic) Artists to Watch in 2021.
Mixed and mastered in our immersive suite, “All In A Dream” won our hearts over with its deep beats and dreamy almost haunting aura.

Back in March, as part of #internationalwomensday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the explosive duo that are the Nova Twins. The band recorded a live version of their track, K.M.B, which is now out on Amazon Music.
Packed with pounding, buzzing bass and screeching, distorted riffs, it’s not surprising that the pair have already garnered a lot attention in the alternative rock and punk scenes. The band embark on tour later this month, catch them at a show near you!

Theon Cross Live @ Metropolis Studios
💥 Last March marked the revival of our Clash Magazine Live series and what better way than to have jazz-tuba champion and member of Mercury-nominated group Sons Of Kemet, Theon Cross, as our artist on the night.
Cross performed for a handful of eager fans, showcasing his virtuosic range and cross-genre influence, playing select tracks from his solo discography, most notably his critically-acclaimed sophomore album ‘Intra-I’.
A transgressive force merging the tradition of jazz with innovation, his latest album ‘Intra-I’ explores a spiritual journey away from the physical self, referencing the people who came before him and the influence his antecedents have had on his creativity, seeking to communicate a journey of self-love and acceptance.
We bring you a live performance of Theon’s track ‘We Go Again’ in all its raw, visceral glory in addition to a pre-show interview with the star himself.

5G Festival @ Metropolis Studios
This week we are hosting #5Gfestival, a world-first performance underpinned by 5G technology featuring an incredible 22 piece band (curated by MD extraordinaire Kojo Samuel) spread across three iconic music venues Metropolis Studios, The O2 and Brighton Dome. Guest appearances include Lola Young, The Pearl Harts and Newton Faulkner.
As part of the wider £30m DCMS 5G Create competition, our testbed & trials programme saw nine heavyweight organisations working collectively over the last two years to explore the untapped potential of 5G. Supporting seamless artist workflow from different geographical locations, our target was to provide a cultural and commercial blueprint for how technology will play a key role in the future of the music sector.
Our fantastic consortium partners include Digital Catapult, mativision, Audiotonix, Sonosphere, Virgin Media O2, Brighton Dome, LiveFrom.Events and Warner Music Group.

Metropolis engineer Mike Hillier was in the studio recently with Bastille working on a new spatial mix of "Back To The Future, the lead single from Bastille's latest album, "Give Me The Future". This new mix will be available exclusively on Amazon Music UK.
Bastille describes the album as "a weird apocalyptic sci-fi album that made you want to dance" so what better way to achieve that than have it mixed in Dolby Atmos in our immersive suite?
3D immersive audio is the future of music and it's exciting to be working at the forefront of this new technology, developing creative immersive mixes for many of the best acts in music right now.
