Faith in Malta last night
DFTD x Faith
Ever since Detroit techno pioneer Robert Hood invited his daughter Lyric to join him under the moniker of Floorplan back in 2016, they’ve been sweeping the scene with a house and gospel infused, hard-hitting techno sound that moves you – physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Robert’s wisdom and decades of experience fused with Lyric’s open-mindedness and impeccable musical instinct make them a force to be reckoned with, both on stage and in the studio. Anyone who has listened to their albums Victorious on Robert’s own M-Plant label and Supernatural on Aus Music or has witnessed one of their explosive performances can attest to that.
Being a father and daughter spanning two generations gives them an unparalleled outlook on electronic music. Their faith in God cements the connection, and the dance floor is where they have chosen to spread their message.
Four our very special cover feature for our new Summer issue, Aron Friedman kindly caught up with Robert and Lyric in The Netherlands, where they are currently residing during the European festival season.
