Videos from a session with Alexi Kraniou and his band recording a promo for work with Function Central!
This is what he had to say about the studio:
I recorded for a project of 7 piece ( vox, guitar , bass, drums , keys , two horns ) A rare occasion where everything was ready to go and studio already set up before the start time agreed on the contract. Made a difference to not have the band waiting around . We turned up ,played , recorded and went home . Luke was happy to do some edits on the spot he was very quick with the process. Mixing was delivered the next day and it was pretty on point without needing any further adjustments. Flexible availability , which made the process from my part on coordinating the schedule of several different busy musicians much easier. Friendly vibes . Would definitely record there again

Mic placement.....
Choosing the right mic for the job is very important.
But mic placement and performance are possibly more important when trying to get that killer recording!
An inexpensive mic placed well, combined with a great performance is likely to sound better than the most expensive mic with poor placement and a poor performance!
