Prodigy Producer, was invited into the heart of music production at this year’s Music Producer’s Guild Awards.

Serving on the judging panel, she had the opportunity to provide critical listening for some of the most brilliant minds in the industry, including this year’s Original Score Recording of the Year category winner, Glass Onion: a Knives Out Mystery.

After a night of glamour on the red carpet, Sam said she is “proud to represent a library that stands unparalleled in its connection to such a prestigious institution and was honoured to be asked onto the judging panel”.

A huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners for all of their talent and hard work which is truly deserving of recognition. 👏

Green production music is made possible through a variety of innovative practices implemented by our composers. Through this initiative, we have learned of the many ways people can adapt and improvise in the pursuit of achieving high-quality music. Below is a little insight into a great example of this.

Manu and Karina started collaborating in London; in 2019, Manu moved to Berlin to change his work style, and Karina built an eco-friendly home studio in her garden. Despite the distance, they continued to make music together by using remote collaboration tools such as Zoom, WhatsApp, and Audio Movers, and eco-friendly platforms like Dropbox and WeTransfer.

Despite the challenges, the duo has thrived under these new conditions, and have shown what can be achieved when working remotely.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting the very first Edit Girls event and panel in our office. It was great to see so many friendly faces and hear from Shahnaz, Rebecca and Amanda on how they have navigated the industry.

Congratulations to Jane Carter, who has been appointed to President of Universal Production Music.

Through the promotion, Jane becomes the first woman to lead global production at a major music publishing company. We announce an exclusive global publishing and production music agreement with Banijay, the world's largest independent content creation and distribution group.
