Great pics from last week’s launch of our amazing new recording studio. Thanks again to who inspired us by saying “This is really, really special for me. Lift, back when it was White Lion, was definitely the foundation for me in how I began my journey. It was really a place where I felt safe. It was a place where I was reminded that I can dream, that breathed community, that breathed life into young people.

“I couldn’t wait to get out of school and come here and create magic, and be amongst amazing young people who were trying to do that and better their lives and chase dreams. It’s crazy what you’ve done with the place, it’s so amazing. It’s such a dream to be here, I’m super, super-honoured. It’s an amazing, beautiful space.”

Join youth workers Judith and Kate to discuss the lockdown and how it is affecting our levels of motivation. We will talk about ways to stay focused and optimistic and also are also devise strategies to help bring some routine into our lives. Chat group for 13-19 year olds on Zoom Monday 27 April at 4pm. We are super-excited to be running five cooking courses this summer holidays. Sharon Clarke will be teacing the Basics of Baking, Creative Finger Food, Independant Living Cookery, £5 Max for Meals for Two and Vegetarian Cookery. All run Tuesdays - Thursdays 4.30-7.30pm and completely free. Check out our website for more details.

We are very excited about a new project with Cubbit Education's Institute of Anything starting next week. We have five photography sessions led by Gisela,a professional photographer and filmmaker with clients includeing Vogue, Cosmopolitan and the BBC. Young people who would like to know more about photography or have some professional quality photos of themselves speak to Judith or Dillon.
