Join youth workers Judith and Kate to discuss the lockdown and how it is affecting our levels of motivation. We will talk about ways to stay focused and optimistic and also are also devise strategies to help bring some routine into our lives. Chat group for 13-19 year olds on Zoom Monday 27 April at 4pm. We are have part-time posts available here and at Platform. These are ideal for young people looking for their first employment opportunities. We have vacancies at reception, the cafe and for recreation assistants. We pay the London Living Wage. For more info see http://bit.ly/1sled0nj0bz
We are super-excited to be running five cooking courses this summer holidays. Sharon Clarke will be teacing the Basics of Baking, Creative Finger Food, Independant Living Cookery, £5 Max for Meals for Two and Vegetarian Cookery. All run Tuesdays - Thursdays 4.30-7.30pm and completely free. Check out our website for more details.
We are very excited about a new project with Cubbit Education's Institute of Anything starting next week. We have five photography sessions led by Gisela,a professional photographer and filmmaker with clients includeing Vogue, Cosmopolitan and the BBC. Young people who would like to know more about photography or have some professional quality photos of themselves speak to Judith or Dillon.

We have an amazing free two day animation course for 13-19 year olds coming up as part of Summerversity. Learn animation, stop motion, storyboarding and editing skills with professional animators from Chocolate Films. Design, animate and edit your very own short film from craft materials using film using 2D stop motion techniques and professional studio equipment. Dates are Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 August 11am-4pm. Start the holidays with our free Summerversity Carnival themed party on Saturday 21 July 6-9pm. We have Caribbean food, games, festival arts, face painting music and dance. We will be joined by Steph and the team from Indigo Project and you can find out more about how to be involved in this year’s Notting Hill Carnival. Open to everyone aged 13-19.

Lift Gym is back open today. Drop by between 4-8pm for a holiday workout with Coach P and the team - entry is only £1. If you have never been before we will give you a free induction and programme card.
We have sandblasted the walls in ground floor and it looks amazing. The lovely original red bricks make such a difference. Still some cleaning up and painting to do but shoud be operational by next week. All the youth activities are still on in other rooms - so open as usual 😀
We have an exciting free arts project starting up next Saturday in partnership with Cubitt Artists. There are six sessions of creative activities including lyric writing, creating banners, making videos and experimenting with sound. After there will be a panel discussion round the many themes and challenges the film highlights.
