Wanted - Your Camera/Production pictures with VMI batteries for new VMI article. You may know that VMI likes to write a lot of new and interesting articles about various subjects in order to spread best practice and tech progress?

Well, we are working on a new article all about portable power. In short - how it used to be easy (12V and cine blocks), then it became much more complicated with LOADS of standards, and now (as a consequence of tech progress), it is once more becoming easy again but the devil IS in the detail!

Great images help to tell a good story, so it would be great if you can share your production pictures with you and our equipment showing our batteries in use. Please post any here that you are happy to have included and I shall ensure that you are clearly credited. The article should be published in a few weeks and be a feature in our February mailout. The Winners Announced - Sustainable Film Competition
With the backdrop of a challenging year in 2023 for the film industry, VMI and Sustainable Film arranged a competition to offer two productions the opportunity to win camera and grip equipment for free. Deep Focus is perhaps a new concept, since the tradition has usually been to create a super-shallow depth of field, however there are times when not having to set focus (perhaps for super slow motion) or complex camera moves is useful. This great example by DP Chris Vandershaaf shows the Deep Focus capability of the TS160 at its best. Just a 5s clip which is really interesting.
